1. Anime

Anime is an art of entertainment that leaves your mind in a world so far from where you really are in. Anime helped me as a kid to focus on going home early after school, so i don't really go out after-schools with my friends. Anime helped me in so many ways, just like waking up in the morning, just because I hated missing my morning anime. Anime thought me some basketball basics from the anime Slamdunk, a lot of boxing moves from the anime Hajime no Ippo, it even thought me some baking steps from Yakitate Japan , and a lot more. Anime is a big part of a lot of 90’s kids’ lives since that generation was the age of Anime in kids. Our whole school during elementary just kept talking about Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, One Piece, Flame of Recca, Yu Yu Hakusho, and a lot more. I live in the Philippines, and my dad told me that President Marcos cancelled cartoons like Voltes V were cancelled due to kids not focusing on their studies, and just cuts class and watches cartoons all day, I can really say that even in olden times anime was a huge part of kids’ lives.

I feel kind of weird that I stopped watching action anime when I went to my adolescence, and started watching romantic anime like Clannad, Kimi ni Todoke, School Rumble, Pet girl of Sakurasou, and a lot more romantic anime. People usually tease me for watching some dramatic anime while being a guy, and crying a river in each of them, it isn’t my fault if I cried in Clannad, that anime was sad as hell, if you watch Clannad, and Clannad:after story without crying you have a heart of stone. In my opinion the most famous animes today are Attack on Titan and Sword Art Online are quite nice animes, but they were kind of destroyed by the hype, just because they didn’t live up to their expectations. I feel that Clannad is such an underrated anime for its content, it is such a heart felt anime and really softens your eyes with sadness.
